Are you looking to gain project and event management skills that will put you ahead of the competition in the job market?

If the answer to all these questions is ‘yes’ then the new Activities Intern could be for you.

We’re looking for a dynamic individual with drive and determination to engage positively with students and student groups and assist in the delivery of significant events in the student calendar.

Activities currently supports almost one hundred societies and over thirty sports teams, in both day to day running, funding and in larger scale events. This year, Activities has received substantial additional funding to support a number of large scale events from Freshers’ Fair to the Societies Festival, the new WinterFest to the annual inter varsity Roses competition against the White Rose of York.

With new events, come new opportunities and we’re looking to recruit a full time intern for six months starting in January 2010 to aid in the delivery of the latter half of our event calendar. You will be supporting other members of staff to deliver on these and other projects as well as being a key face of the Activities team. As an applicant, you’ll need to be highly motivated, an excellent team player and be able to interact well with young people from a variety of backgrounds.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from recent Lancaster University graduates.
